Nigerian gospel singers have been gravitating towards international relationships for reasons best known to them.
It started with Moses Bliss engagement to his Ghanian Fiancee, an event that kept the internet buzzing.
His proposal picture which was accompanied with lovely songs was talked about by all especially Nigerian women who have been gushing over the gospel artiste.
Many found it surprising, while others saw his act as questionable.
Some fans even went on to express their disappointment by telling him to ensure that Ghanaians are streaming his songs since he decided to marry from there.
As if they’ve seen it all, Min. Theophilus surfaced with his Jamaican woman, Ashlee White and it seemed like all hell was let loose.
The gospel artiste who legalised his wedding in court since January was careful enough to keep everything about his relationship on the low till March when his pre-wedding pictures surfaced.
Married to a top realtor and former beauty queen, Theophilus seems to be sending a message to godly brothers that counter what many might have conceived.Theophilus wife, Ashlee white is described by many as “full option”. Memes and post have been flying across social media with a lot of people exclaiming that the gospel artiste did not act in accordance to his songs. Though these reactions were made jokingly.
@eddyosaman on Instagram comment saying “it’s fascinating how many people are expressing surprise and even anger at the fact that Nigerian gospel ministers, including Mr. Theophilus Sunday are marrying women abroad. This reaction highlights a common misconception about men of God, particularly when their spiritual side is prominently displayed on social media. People often forget that they are human beings with personal lives and emotions beyond their spiritual roles. This reaction underscores the need for a more balanced and empathetic understanding of public figures, allowing them to have personal choices and experiences like anyone else. Congratulations MOG @theophilussunday.
With gospel ministers marrying women outside Nigeria, one is forced to think that there’s an underlying issue with Nigerian women.
What could be the cause of this? Are there no beautiful and godly women in Nigeria? Are there no “sisters” with moral principle? What about the sisters who flock around them calling them papa and so on, why are they not in the picture? What do men truly want?
