The demolition of structures on Landmark Beach in Lagos, Nigeria, to make way for the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway was one decision that sparked controversy among Nigerians.
Recall that the federal government demolished some sections of the Landmark beach in Lagos to make way for the LAGOS-CALABAR COASTAL HIGHWAY, a decision that didn’t sit well with many nigerians considering the people affected and its negative impact on livelihood of some people including the environmental risk it poses.
Despite the demolition that took place, a recent development by the Federal government in respect to the proposed realignment of the Highway due to the presence of submarine cables along the coastline have raised many questions in the heart of many citizens across various platforms.
