Popular Nollywood actor and self acclaimed pastor, Yul Edochie has finally opened up on the controversial reason God called him to the pulpit.
The self-styled clergyman who operates an online church made the revelation while speaking with his followers during his online service.
Yul Edochie stated that he doesn’t know all the various reasons that made God call him to become a preacher of his word.
However, he noted that the main reason God called him was because of his stubbornness.
He noted that he is a very stubborn person and he believes God chose him for this particular trait.
Yul Edochie added that he is among the top three stubborn people in Nigeria and he is very proud to say that.
Meanwhile, YUL Edochie would not be the first to embrace the pulpit calling. Several Nollywood actors have embraced pulpit duties despite the diverse and sometimes unconventional characters they portrayed on screen.
The 42-year-old actor’s big announcement of his online church ‘True Salvation Ministry’ left social media users shocked.
Despite being separated from his first wife May Edochie and married to his colleague Judy Austin after the death of his first son Kambilichukwu in March 2023, the actor revealed that his calling to minister to God happened many years ago, but he felt it was not the right time.
